Peering out over Lake Como and the surrounding mountains, this woodland villa offers a relaxing retreat with plenty of modern comforts. Designed by a renowned architect, the home has been expertly shaped to maximise the lake views which can be seen from just about every angle and window. This luxury mid-Century Gio Ponti designed villa, is nestled in a forest in 3 acres of private grounds and the surrounding mountains. A design feature of this luxury Italian villa is its orientation to the sun, the architect wanted it to have as much light, throughout the day, as possible. Therefore, the top living room has 11 large windows facing Lake Como, perfect for sunrise and sunset. From this vantage point it can seem like you are looking down onto the clouds, and often watching them float by at eye level while on vacation.

Three of the six bedrooms have lake views (one with double exposure and three with lakeside balconies). Three have cedar forest views, with two of these having garden access. 4 bedrooms have ensuites and 2 share a bathroom (2 separate toilets). The forest side of the house is cool in summer and affords a tranquil view of the garden. Each floor is completely self-contained with separate external entrances, as well as accessible from the internal spiral staircase. All units comprise a seating area with a sofa, a dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen with various cooking facilities, including a microwave, a fridge and a stovetop. Some units include a balcony and/or a patio with lake views.

There is a sleek infinity pool overlooking the lake from where you can absorb your surroundings or enjoy alfresco dinners on the terrace. Also there is a private sauna available where you can have a relaxing session after a long day trip to the charming lakeside village of Bellagio.

You haven't been to como if you haven't been to Cloudhouse! The villa is Located 8.1 km from Villa Melzi Gardens, Bellagio Ferry Terminal is 8.9 km from the accommodation, while Circolo Golf Villa d'Este is 28 km away. Civenna is a 12 minute drive to Bellagio, set in the hills above the town. There are dozens of fabulous Italian restaurants within 15 minutes of the house.
