What we love about this place:

Grand is the watchword at this stunning 12 Bedroom and Bathroom Villa. At the back of the home, a Roman-style swimming pool invites you to take a cooling dip and a shaded terrace covers a full outdoor kitchen with a grill and wood-fired oven, surrounded by olive groves. The lounge and dining room is a world of wood-paneled walls and archways, oil painting and marble busts, with a huge stone fireplace taking center stage. Smaller rooms are no less ornate, like the library with its hand-painted accents and the family room with its wrought-iron chandelier. There are two kitchens, fully equipped for self-catering, but if you really want to take it easy your host can arrange for lunches and dinners to be served too, as an added extra. There is a original stone fireplace in the grand lounge, where you can take your nightcap sit back and relax.

It’s a fifteen-minute drive (or forty-minute stroll if you’re up for it) into the heart of Florence, but the setting amidst manicured grounds and cedars standing sentinel couldn’t be more idyllic. Here, at the front of the home, you’ll find places to dine outside and enjoy a glass of Chianti as you admire the gardens fit for a manor house.
