Formerly the house of a fisherman who liked to live close to his livelihood, this three-storey house rising from the water's edge has been charmingly restored to provide a family or friends a unique spot for a lakeside holiday. While porter service is available to help schlep your luggage, guests make their own way past San Siro's castle and down the cobbled steps to arrive at the 'front door', which is actually at the side and on the first floor. The light streaming through the windows and the watery horizon ensures you have arrived at exactly the place you need to be. Across from the entrance a partially covered terrace with BBQ is furnished for outdoor meals, while inside the house conveniently on this level is an open-plan kitchen/dining room with access to a large panoramic terrace. Leaving no doubt about the house's origins, a painted wooden boat hangs upside-down from the kitchen ceiling. Up one level are the living room, a bathroom with Jacuzzi and separate shower, and a double bedroom with an ensuite shower room. On the top floor are a second double bedroom with ensuite shower room and a lofted area with two additional twin beds mainly suitable for children. Additional accommodation is available in an independent terraced ground floor apartment that includes a double bedroom, kitchenette, and bathroom. Ground Floor: This level consists of an independent studio with a 160 cm queen-size bed, a kitchenette (cook-top, oven), and a bathroom with a sink, toilet, and tub. It has a separate entrance from the rest of the villa as well as a lovely terrace with a view of the lake. First Floor: On the other side of the villa, another entrance leads into the primary living space. On this level, the door opens into a dining room with a square table for about eight and great views over the water. The dining area is open to the kitchen, which features an old boat hanging from the ceiling! The kitchen has access to the terrace and is fully equipped with a cook-top, oven, and dishwasher. Five steps lead up to a mezzanine floor, where there is a bedroom with a 160 cm queen-size bed and an ensuite bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower. Second Floor: Upstairs, there is a living room with ample seating and a satellite TV. One bathroom has a sink, toilet, and Jacuzzi bath. Third Floor: The highest level of the villa has one bedroom with a 160 cm queen-size bed and a lofted area with two additional twin-beds, great for a couple with children. It has an ensuite bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower. Basement: Here there is a washing machine and a sauna.
