An archway leads to the dining area, which has French windows opening onto the garden, as well as a really nice, modern, fully equipped kitchen (with American fridge, Nespresso coffee maker, microwave, electric and gas hob, dishwasher etc.) with a laundry room containing a washing machine and storage cupboards. Guest toilet. A step leads to a double bedroom (140 cm wide bed) with French windows opening onto the garden. Next to it is a bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet. The upper floor has a double bedroom (160 cm wide bed) with television. Twin bedroom (2 x 90 cm wide beds). Large bathroom with twin sinks, bath with over-bath shower and separate shower stall. Separate toilet.
The villa is south facing, it has very tasteful decor and comfortable furnishings, there is air conditioning in the master double bedroom only, the rest of the bedrooms have fans. Board games cards Monopoly.
A side door leads from the kitchen to a fantastic, huge covered terrace with built-in barbeque and electric plancha for grills, outdoor dining area and sitting area (this is where you will live when staying here).
The enclosed garden is secluded (screened by high hedges and mature trees) and child-friendly, there is a lovely twelve-metre long pool with steps for easy access, a big shallow area which is ideal for children and a security alarm too. The lush lawn is nice and flat with plenty of room to sit out, find a shady spot to read or a quiet lie in the sun. There is plenty of good quality garden furniture. At the bottom of the garden is an idyllic boules area flanked by centuries-old olive trees, you couldn't wish for more, yet you have it as there are lovely views of the hills up behind the house. There is parking space for four cars on the grounds which are accessed via electric gates. Games for children: swing, slide and trampoline.
Just by the entrance to the villa you pick up the trail (it's a bit steep but doable) which leads up to the village which we rate as one of the top five in the area. There is a very good market every Wednesday morning and a decent selection of bars and restaurants and boutique shops in the narrow ancient streets, not forgetting the excellent ice cream bar - try the violet flavour, a local speciality. Just up the road is a flat cycle track/road which runs along the old railway from where you have a terrific view up to the village. The coast is a short drive as is Grasse the perfume capital of France.
